Mrs. Jill Collins
Mrs. Jill Collins, Second Grade Aide, has recently returned to Alexandria, VA after living in Stuttgart, Germany for the past three years with her husband Bill, who retired from the USMC in May, and her three daughters. The Collins’ girls have all been a part of Saint Rita School since 2009. Erin is currently a sophomore at UMass Amherst, Bridget a junior at Bishop Ireton and Nora returning to her eighth grade classmates at SRS.
Jill is a graduate of The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has a Bachelors of Music with an emphasis in opera performance. She began her teaching career at the Ryukyu Classical Academy in Okinawa, Japan where she taught piano to beginners and voice lessons to teens and adults. For 20 years she continued teaching private lessons in her home while moving around as a military family and raising her children.
The Collins’ were a part of the Saint Rita community for seven years prior to moving to Germany. Jill was very active in many roles such as room parent, second grade reading volunteer, music director for the musicals, uniform committee, and Virtus coordinator. Jill is very happy to be back and excited to be working with the second grade class.
