Contributing to Our Annual Fund
Dear Friends of Saint Rita,
As Saint Rita’s Feast Day approaches this May, we are excited to launch a Day of Giving to our Annual Fund. This Day of Giving replaces the Spring2Action April fundraiser in which St. Rita has historically participated. Contributions to our Annual Fund and raised by the PTO’s 5K Race and Gala Auction help close the gap between tuition revenue and the cost to run our school. The actual cost to educate a child at Saint Rita is approximately $11,000 per year, but most of our students receive parishioner and sibling discounts, and many of our families receive need-based financial aid to make it possible for them to choose a Saint Rita education. To help ensure we are able to offer the best education possible, recruit and retain a stellar faculty, and upgrade our aging building, we invite you to consider making a donation to the Annual Fund this May, and we thank you for generously supporting our PTO fundraisers as well.
The generosity of our school community and parish these past few years have already facilitated wonderful improvements at Saint Rita School, including:
- Installing a new PA and bell system
- Replacing our security cameras
- Fencing in our parking lot & securing our interior play space
- Upgrading and relocating our computer lab
- Purchasing beautiful solid wood bookshelves for the library and pop-up lunch tables for the School Hall
- Acquiring our new school-wide math and writing curriculums
- Renovating student bathrooms and painting our interior walls
This May’s Day of Giving has a target of $10,000, of which we already have a generous donor willing to contribute the first $3,000. This money will help cover the cost of two summer projects:
- The installation of outdoor lighting in and around the lovely convent garden space to both enhance security and make this space usable for meetings or events in the evenings. The new lights will also help illuminate the playground as well.
- The refreshment of our rather woebegone interior stairway leading from our main entrance down to the soon-to-be-beautified School Hall. Our students trek these sad stairs multiple times daily, as do our current and prospective families. We need to re-surface the stairs and then can work on beautifying this whole space.
We are so grateful for your support and partnership. Please circulate this opportunity to St. Rita friends and family near and far, and remember that all donations are tax deductible. Donations can be made via the ParishGiving or PayPal links below.
