Mr. David Klosterman
Mr. David Klosterman , 7th Grade Core (Early Modern English, Literature, History), 7 & 8 Remedial Latin Teacher, is very happy to be teaching at St. Rita School again! He received his Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Christendom College in May, 2011. The following fall, he began his teaching career here, at St. Rita School, teaching Religion, P.E. and Social Studies over the course of two years. During the summer of 2013, in order to live closer to his family, Mr. Klosterman decided to move back up to Rochester, NY, where he was hired to teach at St. John Bosco Schools and Chesterton Academy of Rochester. During his five years teaching there, Mr. Klosterman taught a variety of classes: Music and P.E. (PreK-12), Math, Introductory Latin, Latin II, and Spanish I and II. While in Rochester, Mr. Klosterman also enjoyed spending a lot of his free time with his family; his parents, five of his six siblings, and his eleven nieces and nephews all still live in the Greater Rochester area. In the winter of 2018, Mr. Klosterman felt called to move back down to Alexandria to pursue a Masters in Education program for Catholic Schools Administration and Supervision at Marymount University. He immediately applied to St. Rita School and was thrilled when he was hired to teach where it all began seven years ago. Some of Mr. Klosterman’s hobbies include singing in choirs, playing sports (especially soccer), and doing trivia nights with his friends. Mr. Klosterman is very excited to share his love for music and singing with the students at St. Rita School and is looking forward to getting to know everyone over the course of the school year!
