Mr. David Klosterman
Mr. David Klosterman, Dean of Faculty, 7th Grade Core/Math/Latin, is very happy to be teaching at St. Rita School! He received his Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Christendom College in May, 2011. The following fall, he began his teaching career here, at St. Rita School, teaching Religion, P.E. and Social Studies over the course of two years. During the summer of 2013, in order to live closer to his family, Mr. Klosterman decided to move back up to Rochester, NY, where he was hired to teach at St. John Bosco Schools and Chesterton Academy of Rochester, both very classically-minded schools. During his five years teaching there, Mr. Klosterman taught a variety of classes: Music and P.E. (PreK-12), Math, Introductory Latin, Latin II, and Spanish I and II. While in Rochester, Mr. Klosterman also enjoyed spending a lot of his free time with his family; his parents, five of his six siblings, and his 14+ nieces and nephews all still live in the Greater Rochester area. In the winter of 2018, Mr. Klosterman felt called to move back down to Alexandria to begin a Masters in Education program for Catholic Schools Administration and Supervision at Marymount University. He immediately applied to St. Rita School and was thrilled when he was hired to teach where it all began years ago in 2013. He received his Masters in Catholic Schools Administration in May of 2020, and has been blessed with many opportunities to grow in his knowledge and experience in this field. Some of Mr. Klosterman’s hobbies include singing in choirs, playing sports (especially soccer!), reading the classics, and doing trivia nights with his friends.
