Miss Kaitlin Ammirati, Art Teacher, was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area and was educated in the Arlington Diocese. She attended St. Bernadette’s in Springfield for elementary school and Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington. She studied at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA for her undergraduate studies and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education. The following year she did graduate work in special education while teaching at an arts based school in suburban Philadelphia. She later moved back home, and has been teaching at Angelus Academy in Springfield in a number of different roles, including fourth grade teacher, art teacher, and kindergarten aide. She is very excited to begin her second year here as the art teacher here at Saint Rita School and will be splitting her time between the art programs at Angelus Academy and St. Rita School. In addition to teaching, Ms. Ammirati enjoys working on her own art (her favorites are painting and charcoal), as well as reading and going to trivia with her friends.
