Miss Jennie Dhanagom
Miss Jennie Dhanagom, Network Admin/K-8 Tech Teacher, grew up in Los Angeles, CA and Cheverly, MD. Growing up with a Catholic mother, a Buddhist father, and a diverse peer group that ran the spectrum, she has been blessed with ample life opportunities to contemplate and communicate the truths of the Catholic Faith.
Since getting her work permit at age 14, she has worked in Accounting, Retail, Maintenance, Childcare, and Hospitality. She has also volunteered in the healthcare industry, working especially with the elderly. These life experiences never failed to show God’s presence in her life, and she is grateful for them all! After graduating from Christendom College with a B.A. in Philosophy, she taught English for a year in Fukui-shi, Fukui-ken, Japan to children ages 6 months to 18 years. She worked at a wonderful Catholic school in Maryland before coming to St. Rita’s.
On her way back to the United States, Miss Dhanagom fulfilled a life-long dream of circumnavigating the world while visiting friends and family along the way. She loves travelling to all kinds of places and has enjoyed pilgrimages to Lourdes, Rome, and Loreto. She walked a part of the Camino de Santiago, and it remains one of her favorite memories.
Miss Dhanagom enjoys discussions–both deep and fanciful–as well as travelling, reading, drawing, writing, and listening to music. She recently has begun figure skating, and absolutely loves it!
