Miss Jennie Dhanagom
Miss Jennie Dhanagom teaches technology to grades K-8. She grew up in Los Angeles, CA and Cheverly, MD. As a millennial growing up in metropolises with a mother who teaches computer science, technology has been a constant part of her life.
After graduating from Christendom College with a B.A. in Philosophy, she spent a year teaching English in Fukui-shi, Fukui-ken, Japan. She enjoyed working with children ages 6 months to 18 years and loved the mountainside farming village she was stationed in, but missed the birth of her first niece and decided to move back to the United States. On her way home, she fulfilled a life-long dream of circumnavigating the world while visiting friends and family along the way. She worked at a wonderful Catholic school in Maryland before coming to St. Rita’s.
She enjoys all the wonderful ways tech can be used to enrich our lives, but firmly believes that a strong foundation in the real world is key to a healthy life. Hands-on discovering is one of her favorite ways to learn and teach, as it gives us the irreplaceable opportunity to encounter God’s awe-inspiring creations and encourages us to think on our feet.
